”WAGS” FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SIZE BIKE DO I NEED TO TOW THE WAGS TRAILERS
* Standard cargo or pet trailer (22 cu. ft.)--we recommend at least 650CC scooter/motorcycle or larger
* Large cargo or pet trailer (34 cu. ft.)--we recommend at least 1500 CC motorcycle or larger or a trike
* Handicap trailer—we recommend a trike or any vehicle
Any WAGS trailer can also be towed by any car or pick-up truck.
HITCHES FOR YOUR BIKE/TRIKE
Does WAGS sell hitches? NO, there are too many brands and styles so we recommend:
CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER.
* WAGS uses 1 7/8" ball---this is standard size for all motorcycle trailer hitches

WIRE HARNESS
WAGS uses a 6-prong round wire harness, which we mail to the customer
when the order is placed.
BRAKES
Do you need brakes on a trailer? NO motorcycle trailer manufacturer (not even camper
trailer manufacturers) install brakes on their trailers. Anytime you are at a bad angle, such
as on a curve, the brakes on the motorcycle trailer could pull the bike down.
SWIVEL COUPLER
This is personal preference! Most “cargo” trailer customers DO NOT select the swivel coupler as an option, however; most “pet” trailer customers DO select the swivel coupler as an option. You do not need a swivel for normal curves and riding but it would be beneficial if your bike went down—the swivel coupler would keep your trailer in place . You do NOT need a swivel coupler with a trike.
WHEEL BEARINGS
We recommend you check and pack your wheel bearings yearly if you do lots of traveling; otherwise, every 2 years would be adequate. Buddy bearings do not fit on the WAGS wheels covers.

SUSPENSION
The suspension of the WAGS trailer is independent torsion-bar, with 800# or 1000# axles, depending on the size of the trailer.
CANCELLATION POLICY
$250 cancellation fee plus credit card fees and any other fees incurred such as cost of paint--if already ordered, special custom work, painting, graphics, etc. that is already completed.
IS THE WAGS “PET” TRAILER SAFE AND COMFORABLE FOR YOUR PET?
We have tested the WAGS “Pet” trailer many times with adults riding in the trailer to determine that exhaust fumes and loud pipes will not be an issue inside the trailer. In addition to the insulated and carpeted interior, we do not place any windows in the front of the trailer or near the front area of the sides of the trailer. These features alleviate exhaust fumes and/or loud pipes. We also glue carpet over 2” foam for the (removable) floor of the pet trailer for comfort for your pet.
AIR CIRCULATION INSIDE THE “PET” TRAILER
The insulation and interior carpet, along with the large top vent, solar power vent, side windows with screens (that open) and back window with screen (that opens) or back door provide a comfortable temperature and good air circulation inside the WAGS pet trailer.
COOL PADS ON THE FLOOR OF THE “PET” TRAILER
Our pet trailer customers tell us that the “cool pads” placed on the floor of the pet area in the trailer will keep the pet much cooler for 8-10 hours on a very warm day. We do NOT sell the cool pads or cool vests as there are too many styles available.

LOCKING THE "PET" TRAILER
For the small pet and using the large back window with screen, the pet parent would lift the pet(s) into the trailer, close and lock the trailer lid. For the larger pet and using the back door, the pet would enter the trailer through the back door. The pet parent would then close the back door from the inside of the trailer, pulling the top handle down and the bottom handle up to close the door. The pet parent would then close & lock the trailer lid.
WHAT SIZE TRAILER DO I NEED FOR MY PET
The standard “pet” trailer will accommodate up to approximately 100# pet—this is also depending on the width/height of the pet and also if you need room in the front of the trailer for cargo area. The large “pet” trailer will accommodate up to 2 very large pet(s)—for example, 1 St. Bernard and 1 Lab (total weight could be up to 300#).
If you cannot decide if you want the standard pet trailer (22 cu. ft.) or the large pet trailer
(34 cu. ft.), we recommend you take the inside dimensions of each trailer (standard pet trailer inside dimensions: L-44.5”; W-24”; D-26.5” and large pet trailer inside dimensions: L-52.5”;
W-34.5”; D-32”), mark them on your garage floor or driveway with chalk or cardboard.
Then place the pet(s) inside the area to determine how much space your pet(s) will have.
Keep in mind pet(s) do not need much space and they normally lay down as soon as you start to travel. We do offer the removable partition in both size trailers so that you can have pet area in the rear and cargo area in the front or you can remove the partition and use the entire trailer for pet(s) or for cargo. If you order the (removable) partition, you have the choice of the size of your pet area: (Standard trailer pet area can be anywhere between 18” – 31” long x 24” wide and large trailer pet area can be anywhere between 22”-36” long x 34.5” wide.) The remainder would be your cargo area.
